Entangled
part of Platform DIS, platform for ecological issues through artistic practices
A weekend about entanglement with our environment and our relationship to seaweeds with members of collective Entangled: ellen schoenmakers, Herman van den Muijsenberg, Johanna Weggelaar, Wouter Engelbart, Carmen Molenaar and Willemijn Bussink
Dear fellow organism,
Algae populated the coastlines long before humans appeared on Earth. In all colors and shapes, seaweeds move with the rhythm of the tide; they offer each other and others support and can guide us in how to interact with our environment in a renewed way. We carry the environment with us, are created from it.
Research collective Entangled moves among the algae, studies the tidal zone, interviews farmers, researchers and scientists, does tactile fieldwork.
