What does community mean? How can we live together, and what does that require? Strict adherence to rules? Unlimited tolerance? Or just a good drink?

De Onmogelijke Gemeenschap (The Impossible Community) is a project by philosopher Max Receveur and artists Maria Timmermans, Renske Huysmans, and Lotte van Kessel, which aims to explore and discuss the concept of community through the lens of various historical philosophers.

Accessibility

The Impossible Community meets on the first two Wednesdays of the month at Clublokaal. Members read and discuss texts to deepen and sharpen their ideas about living together.

They ask for a small contribution of €5 per month (€2.50 per meeting) to cover the travel expenses of their favourite philosopher.
